1. Consume water frequently: Drink water all day long rather than waiting till you're thirsty.
2. Increase intake in hot weather or during exercise: When it's hot, muggy, or you're exercising, you should consume extra water. Always carry a water bottle: To promote frequent drinking, always have a reusable water bottle on hand.
3. Consume hydrating foods: Make sure your diet consists of fruits and vegetables that are high in water content.
4. Limit dehydrating beverages: Cut back on or stay away from alcohol, caffeine, and sugary beverages.
5. Be mindful of symptoms: Keep an eye out for symptoms of dehydration, such as weariness or dry mouth, as well as thirst.
6. Hydrate before, during, and after exercise: Make sure to consume fluids prior to, during, and following physical exercise, particularly intense training sessions.
7. Remain cool: Take regular pauses in a cool or shady environment if you work out or work out outside.
8. Be aware of illness: When you're ill, especially if you have a fever, diarrhoea, or vomiting, drink more water.
